One of the five-year Trial, compared to plasebon and after taking into account factors such as age, weight and smoking was associated with Atorvastatin 37% greater risk of developing diabetes.

But the other five years of trials, such as comparing Lipitor Zocor or higher dose Atorvastatin, smaller doses of drugs, the risk was much smaller; 6.4-5,6% and 9% to 8%, respectively. Researchers say the increase is due to the effect of Lipitor, the possibility to regulate the body's blood sugar.

Digoxin, which appeared in the research Journal of clinical onkologian, Denmark in the women's 100, 000 to analyze the data to researchers ages 20 and older who took Digoxin at some point during the 12 years.
